Jalil Afnan, MD

Dr. Jalil Afnan, MD, MRCS, is Chair of Radiology at Lahey Hospital & Medical Center, and co-Director of the Lahey Innovation Hub. Dr. Afnan brings extensive clinical and academic experience and leadership to these roles, most recently Executive Vice-Chair in Radiology, and Associate Dean for Education at Lahey overseeing the residency and fellowship programs at the Institution, as Director of Graduate Medical Education.  

Dr. Afnan is dual board-certified in surgery and radiology and completed research fellowships at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in surgery and image guided therapy. Dr. Afnan is passionate about Innovation. He believes healthcare is at a critical juncture, and its future success will rely heavily on trusted partnerships with scientists, researchers and creative thinkers to develop novel technologies in support of excellence in patient care, in the hospital and at-home environments.
