Dr. Goldsmith is primarily interested in point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) research and education. He is a national leader in POCUS artificial intelligence with both state and NIH funding. Further, he has developed a national registry on ultrasound-guided nerve blocks and serves as a national as well as international expert in both fields. He leads multiple educational initiatives in ultrasound-guided nerve blocks yearly and has established the group Blockheads-EM specifically focusing on emergency medicine ultrasound-guided nerve blocks. Outside of medicine, he enjoys traveling, hiking as well playing outdoor sports.
