The Ian C. Summerhayes Cell and Molecular Biology Lab

The Ian C. Summerhayes Cell and Molecular Biology (ICSCMB) Lab at Lahey Hospital & Medical Center performs translational research primarily focused on molecular oncology, and collaborates with high tech corporations pioneering methods of earlier detection of cancer.

Our Research

From Bench to Bedside

To the left, you'll see an image focusing on a panel MicroRNA expressions in lichen sclerosus and nonlichen sclerosus RNA samples. MircoRNAs are a focus of our Translational Research lab.

Above, you'll see a gel-like image showing protein expression of IGF1R in renal cell carcinoma following transduction with microRNA LET-7c.

These are just two examples of what our team works on within the ICSCMB lab.
