Dr. Michael Char is an Emergency and Critical Care Medicine physician and an Assistant Professor in the Departments of Emergency Medicine and Medicine. Born and raised in Milton, MA, Mike attended Tufts University for undergrad and medical school. He completed his Emergency Medicine Residency at Boston Medical Center, where he served as Chief Resident. He then completed his fellowship in Critical Care Medicine at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. Mike splits his clinical time evenly between the Lahey ER and MICU. His academic interests focus on improving patient outcomes at the intersection of emergency medicine and critical care medicine with an emphasis on resuscitation. Outside of the hospital, Mike enjoys cooking, skiing, and exploring Boston breweries. He lives in Medford with his wife, Sara, and goldendoodle, Gus.
